The Full Process, Step-by-Step
STEP 1: Open Your GoldStar IRA (Takes 1 Day)
You’ll fill out the IRA Account Application and select:
Account Type: Traditional, Roth, SEP
Asset Type: Precious Metals
Referral Field: Enter “Atlas Bullion”
Interested Party: Use the pre-filled form to grant Atlas view-only access to your account. This lets us assist you if needed — without being able to move or change anything.
STEP 2: Fund Your IRA (Takes 3–10 Days)
There are three ways to fund your new IRA:
🔄 Transfer from another IRA
Use the included IRA Transfer Request Form and submit a recent account statement. You can choose:
Full liquidation (recommended)
In-kind transfer (may cause delays if assets aren’t eligible)
✅ Signature must be original but can be emailed, faxed, or mailed.
🔁 Rollover from an old 401(k), 403(b), 457, or TSP
Contact your current plan administrator for their required paperwork
Use your completed GoldStar IRA as the new receiving account
Funds will be deposited into your new GoldStar account in cash form
💵 Make a new contribution
If eligible, you can also make a cash contribution from your personal funds (within IRS annual limits)
STEP 3: Direct Your Investment (Takes 1 Day)
This is when you decide what metals to buy.
Use the Investment Direction Form to:
Select “Purchase”
List Atlas Bullion as your dealer
Include your invoice or order confirmation
Choose your storage depository (see below — we strongly recommend Texas TPMD)
As soon as GoldStar receives your funds and completed paperwork, we’ll secure your metals and ship them to the vault on your behalf.
📦 STEP 4: Secure Storage & Delivery
All IRA metals are shipped directly from Atlas Bullion to your chosen IRS-approved depository.

When you direct your investment, you must choose where your metals will be stored. Here’s a breakdown of your options:
